What started as an acoustic project between vocalist Rob Ulrich and bassist Josh Bodeen quickly manifested into a full band operation once they realized the potential of their sound. They recruited guitarist Brad Prentice and drummer Josh Blue to form what became the final line up. Mindset Evolution teamed up with producer Erik Nelson in late 2008 to record "Taking Back Today". Using an abandoned warehouse in downtown Peoria, Illinois as a rehearsal space, the album came together in just three short months. Each band member had creative input, allowing the songs to evolve throughout the recording process. The end result was an album lyrically full of life, love, loss, and memorable melodies. Mindset Evolution is currently in the studio and will be working on new material throughout the summer of 2010 for a highly anticipated follow up to "Taking Back Today".
